Uma nova espécie de Lophoblatta Hebard (Blattaria, Blattellidae) coletada em ninho de Sphecidae (Hymenoptera) no Acre, Brasil

Abstract: ABSTRACT.A new species of Lophoblatta Hebard (Blattaria, Blattellidae) collected in Sphecidae nest (Hymenoptera) in Acre, Brazil. Lophoblatta lurida sp. nov. is described from the State of Acre (Brazil) based on a single specimen collected in a wasp nest. Illustrations of the male genitalia and the distribution of the known species of Lophoblatta Hebard, 1929 are provided.KEYWORDS. Acre; Blattaria; Lophoblatta lurida sp. nov.; wasp nest. “…Dexosarcophaga is a New World genus of the Sarcophaginae with most of its species distributed in South America (Pape 1996, Santos et al 2022). Although fragmentary observations indicate that Dexosarcophaga species seems to be associated with social insects like ants or termites (Lopes 1939, 1968, 1982a, Méndez 2012), some species have been collected during several forensic studies (Alves et al 2014). Field successional experiments using pig carrion ( Sus scrof a L.) have documented the occurrence of Dexosarcophaga ampullula (Engel, 1931), Dexosarcophaga carvalhoi (Lopes, 1980), Dexosarcophaga lenkoi Lopes, 1968, Dexosarcophaga paulistana (Lopes, 1982b), and Dexosarcophaga transita Townsend, 1917 in the carcass substrate (Barros et al 2008, Rosa et al 2011, Mello-Patiu et al 2014, De-Faria et al 2017); with D. carvalhoi collected in relatively high frequency.…”
