This is a descriptive-exploratory study with a quantitative approach, with the objective of identifying how nurses perceive psychological harassment at work, the behaviors experienced and the variables involved. In collecting data, two questionnaires were used: one socio-professional and another for identifying the behaviors involving psychological harassment experienced by the subjects in the previous twelve months, along with the duration and frequency of the behaviors.At the end of the questionnaire, a dichotomous question was added, which addressed nurses' perceptions in relation to feeling victimized by psychological harassment at work. Both the questionnaires were applied in electronic and print format between May and September 2010.The data was analyzed through descriptive statistics. The results showed that some of the subjects felt that they were victims of psychological harassment. Only the variables related to characterization of the psychological harassment presented significant association. The following were highlighted among the most-referred-to behaviors: "They question your decisions" and "You receive verbal attacks criticizing work you have done". It's important to open spaces for discussing violence at work, so that managers may establish strategic measures for preventing and containing this type of violence, so as to ensure health, dignity and well-being at work. It is also important to discuss this issue in the academic space, so as to give the theme greater visibility, such that future nurses will be able to identify and appropriately confront this type of violence.Descriptors: Nursing; Violence; Working Environment; Bullying; Occupational Health. Objective: To analyze the consequences of intimate partner violence, from the perspective of women, as an intervention proposal for nurses in health care. Methods: Qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research. Theoretical framework supported by Levine's Nursing Theory. Sixteen women who had experienced intimate partner violence participated in the study. The Collective Subject Discourse was used for the analysis. Results: The consequences of violence against women were sleep disorders, improper diet, lack of energy, body aches, bruises, abrasions, panic attacks, sadness, loneliness and low self-esteem, constituting psychoemotional and physical harm. Conclusion: Assaults upon the integrity of women were evidenced, based on Levine's conservational principles, in terms of conservation of energy and conservation of structural, personal and social integrity, where the intervention of the nurse is essential for support, promotion and rehabilitation of women's health. ResumoObjetivo: Analisar as consequências da violência contra a mulher praticada pelo companheiro, na perspectiva das mulheres, como proposta de intervenção do enfermeiro na atenção à saúde. Métodos: Pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória. Referencial teórico sustentado pela Teoria de Enfermagem de Levine. Participaram 16 mulheres que vivenciaram violência pelo companheiro íntimo. Para análise, utilizou-se o Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados: As consequências da violência à mulher foram distúrbios do sono, alimentação inadequada, falta de energia, dores pelo corpo, hematomas, escoriações, síndrome do pânico, tristeza, solidão e baixa autoestima, que determinaram danos psicoemocionais e físicos. Conclusão: Foram constatados agravos à integridade da mulher frente aos princípios da conservação de Levine na conservação de energia e integridade estrutural, pessoal e social, considerando a intervenção do enfermeiro essencial ao apoio, à promoção e à reabilitação da saúde da mulher.

RESUMO:Estudo exploratório-descritivo tenho por objetivo identificar episódios de violência com profissionais da Estratégia Saúde da Família do interior do Estado do Amazonas e sua percepção sobre as condições de segurança e prevenção da violência no trabalho. Foi aplicado um questionário, autoaplicável, semiestruturado e adaptado do Survey of Violence in the Workplace for Health Care Workers, em janeiro de 2010. Encontrou-se 10,1% de casos de violência sob forma de ameaças, 8,4% como provocação, 4,8% como intimidação e 5,7% como assédio sexual. As ocorrências foram perpetradas contra mulheres. Os profissionais não consideram seu local de trabalho seguro e 81,2% não foram treinados para reconhecer e agir frente a situações de violência. Conclui-se que o desconhecimento de procedimentos obrigatórios e o fato do tema não ser discutido nem alertado aos profissionais pode ser o motivo da baixa incidência de violência em relação à bibliografia consultada. Los profesionales no consideran su local de trabajo seguro y 81,2% no fueron entrenados para reconocer y actuar delante de situaciones de violencia. Se concluye que el desconocimiento de procedimientos obligatorios y el hecho del tema no ser discutido ni alertado a los profesionales puede ser el motivo de la baja incidencia de violencia en relación a la bibliografía consultada.
