ABSTRACT:Associations between generic and specific perceived health status have been little used in the clinical practice of the cardiovascular sciences. Describe the clinical and socio-economic profile of heart failure patients (HF) and correlate their perceived health status (PHS) (generic and specific) with clinical and socio-economic variables. Cross-sectional, quantitative and analytical study approved by the ethics committee -Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (number 833.007). A sample of 91 individuals with different functional classes and etiologies of HF and who were in outpatient follow-up answered the following questionnaire: 1. Clinical and socioeconomic questionnaire; 2. Visual Analog Scale (VAS); 3. Minnesota Questionnaire (MLWHFQ). We studied 91 patients with HF; the majority was male (50.5%) married (52.7%), inactive (working condition) (83.51%), NYHA functional class IV (29.7%) hypertension etiology (46.2%). The VAS was correlated significantly (p <0.05) with the variables family income (r = 0.173) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) (r = 0.221) and significant (p <0.01) comorbidities (r = 0.237) and medications (r = 0.475). Significant associations (p <0.05) were established between the VSA, gender, surgical procedure and NYHA functional class IV. All MLWHFQ domains were significantly associated (p <0.01) with the female gender and functional class IV. Perceived health status showed significant decline in all dimensions when compared to other published studies, demanding attention from the health professionals and new clinical strategies to manage heart failure.

RESUMOO objetivo foi Descrever as atividades desenvolvidas e caracterizar os participantes do Projeto de Reabilitação Cardiovascular no Ritmo do Samba. Estudo descritivo transversal, realizado com 13 mulheres que participam de um grupo de reabilitação por meio do samba. Dados pessoais, medicamentos, fatores de risco (FR) e mensuração de frequência cardíaca (FC), pressão arterial (PA) e medidas antropométricas foram feitas para caracterização. A PA sistólica e diastólica foram de 121,53±20,75 mmHg e 80,76±12,55 mmHg, respectivamente. A FC de repouso de 75,61±9,72 bpm, circunferência de cintura de 96,42±9,34 cm, circunferência de quadril de 109,42±8,15 cm e a relação entre eles de 0,87±0,05 cm. Histórico familiar (N = 10), sedentarismo (N = 8), obesidade (N = 7) e estresse (N = 7) foram os FR mais prevalentes. Conclui-se que a população participante do projeto é exclusivamente feminina, com idade acima de 50 anos e PA dentro da normalidade. Ainda, os principais FR foram o histórico familiar, sedentarismo, obesidade e estresse. Palavras-chave: Reabilitação cardíaca; Fatores de Risco; Dança. CARDIOVASCULAR REHABILITATION PROJECT IN THE SAMBA RHYTHM OF THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO STATE ABSTRACTThe objective was to describe the activities developed and characterize the participants of the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Project in the Samba Rhythm. A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out with 13 women participating in a rehabilitation group through samba. Introdução: Apesar das inovações tecnológicas em cardiologia, a insuficiência cardíaca (IC) ainda é sinônimo de alta morbimortalidade. Poucos estudos abordam as características clínicas e socioeconômicas como desfecho e ferramenta para manejo dessa cardiopatia, tampouco de diferentes etiologias de IC em conjunto. Objetivo: Descrever variáveis clínicas e socioeconômicas de pacientes com insuficiência cardíaca de diferentes etiologias e classes funcionais. Metodologia: Estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo, aprovado pelo comitê de ética local sob nº 833.007. Inicialmente, os autores realizaram a validação de face e conteúdo do questionário clínico e socioeconômico. Posteriormente, uma amostra de 91 indivíduos que estavam em acompanhamento ambulatorial em um hospital público responderam ao questionário por meio da técnica de entrevista, individualmente, em consultórios disponibilizados pelo serviço. Uma revisão nos prontuários ocorreu posteriormente à entrevista, para aumentar a fidelidade das respostas. Resultados: O sexo masculino (50,5%) predominou na amostra, sendo a maioria dos indivíduos casados (52,7%), aposentados (83,51%), com escolaridade entre 0-4 anos e renda maior que quatro salários mínimos (57,1%). A classe funcional I (35,2%) de etiologia isquêmica (46,2%) prevaleceu na amostra, assim como a hipertensão arterial sistêmica (88,5%) como principal comorbidade associada, e angioplastia (30,8%) como procedimento cirúrgico de maior prevalência. O perfil medicamentoso demonstrou que antitrombóticos (60,4%), betabloqueadores (58,2%), inibidores da enzima conversora de angiotensina (56%) e estatinas (47,3%) foram prescritos para a maior parte dos indivíduos. Conclusões: O perfil socioeconômico e clínico devem ser ferramentas para a gestão e manejo de saúde de pacientes com IC, independente da etiologia ou classe funcional, embora essas variáveis possuam peculiaridades.
