Medical care and deaths due to coronary artery disease in Brazil, 1980-1999

Abstract: The results show a high frequency of sudden death and suggest errors in diagnosis or codification and overestimation of the statistics about mortality. Validation of the death certificate diagnosis and frequent surveillance are required.
