Objective: construction and validation of a systematization instrument for Nursing Care, characterizing the profile of patients of an intensive care unit in the north of Brazil. Methods: it was a descriptive methodological study that followed a nursing process model in five phases. Results: it was suggested that the instrument be constructed in two formats; one for admission and another for daily assessment. Some items were removed from the instrument according to content validation content by the nurses. Of the 45 patients evaluated, 60.0% were men, 44.0% were married, 40.0% had low education levels, chronic renal failure and cancer. The main nursing diagnoses were risk for infection (100.0%) and impaired physical mobility (97.8%). The main nursing interventions were: handwashing, changing intravenous access, performing aseptic techniques and moving patients every 2 hours. Conclusion: construction and content validation were carried out successfully, promoting instruments capable of providing quality nursing care for patients in intensive care.

The objective of this research is to determinate the capacity of the critical patient to remember what he lived through the time into adult ICU hospitalization after discharge and to stablish a sociodemographic profile. It is a descriptive and transversal study, held at an Intensive Care Center from a Large Hospital at Rondônia Countryside. 50 participants were obtained under average age of 53 years. They answered to a sociodemographic questionnaire and to the Costa and Macron Inventory, (2009). The research started after approval from the Ethics and Research Committee under the assent number 2.899.338. The data description was done through Excel ® and Word ® , and the statistical analysis through the R Studio program. It was found that most of the participants were male (54%), wherein 54% declared to be married, 76% live in Urban Zone, and the average time of internship was 15 days, the highest diagnostic incidence was Postoperative Surgery related to Tumor and Cancer (28%). About the memories; 18% of the participants do not preset memories, 82% present memories from real facts, 73.17% present illusory memories. Considering the p-value was 2.89; it is stated that the null hypothesis from this work was disregarded. The gathered data is of extreme relevance for hospital psychologists, making it possible to know the patients' reality. It is necessary for new researches to be done for a deeper analysis of these data, thus evaluating the possible causes for the absence of memories from the minority, and the care relation concerning the majority.

rESUMo objetivo: Identificar a incidência de transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (TEPT) em pacientes submetidos à ventilação mecânica (VM) e analisar a sua relação com variáveis clíni-cas, demográficas e presença de recordações referentes à unidade de terapia intensiva (UTI). Método: Estudo prospectivo longitudinal realizado durante o período de um ano na UTI de um hospital-escola. A avaliação ocorreu três meses após a alta da UTI durante consulta ambulatorial. Os sujeitos foram avaliados utilizando-se um instrumento para avaliar memórias de UTI (IAM-TI) e o Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R), para avaliar o TEPT. resultados: Do total de respondentes, 68,8% eram do sexo masculino, a idade variou entre 18 e 79 anos, com média de 43,5 anos ± 17,1. Quanto à avaliação dos pacientes, 14,5% apresentaram sintomas de TEPT, quando utilizado um ponto de corte > 20 pontos. Para uma melhor precisão diagnós-tica, foi utilizado também o ponto de corte ≥ 33 pontos e, nesse caso, sete pacientes (5,1%) apresentaram o transtorno. Conclusão: Poucos pacientes preencheram todos os critérios para o diagnóstico de TEPT, indicando que a grande maioria deles apresentou apenas sintomatologia relacionada ao TEPT. aBStraCt objective: Identify the incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in patients submitted to MV and analyze its relation with clinical and demographical variables, and with the presence of memories regarding intensive care unit (ICU). Method: It is a longitudinal prospective study, carried out in one year at an ICU of a university hospital. Evaluation occurred three months after ICU discharge during patients follow up at the ambulatory. Subjects were evaluated using the ICU memories (ICU-AMI) and the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) instruments. results: From the total of subjects, 68.8% were male from 18 to 79 years of age, 43.5 years old average ± 17.1. From the evaluated patients, 14.5% presented symptoms of PTSD when a cut-off score > 20 was used. For a diagnostic accuracy a ≥ 33 cut-off score was also used, and in this case, only seven patients (5.1%) showed signs of PTSD. Conclusion: A few patients met the criteria for the PTSD diagnosis indicating that the great majority of patients admitted at ICU show only symptomatology related to PTSD.
