“…The human T cell lymphotropic virus I and II (HTLV I/II) can be transmitted by blood and cellular blood products, maternal milk, sexual contact and by the shared use of syringes and needles among intravenous drugs abusers 18 . Rates of prevalence of anti-HTLV I/II among patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, homosexual men, HIV infected patients and intravenous drug users are registered 4,18 .
