Vislumbrando a iniciação científica a partir das orientadoras de bolsistas da Enfermagem

Abstract

This research aimed at understanding the meaning of undergraduate research for supervisors of Nursing scholarship students in a university in the South of Brazil. The methodological reference used was the Grounded Theory, by the means of interviews with seven undergraduate research scholarship advisors forming two sample groups. The phenomenon "glimpsing undergraduate research activities of research groups coordinated by nursing advisors, the basis of competency formation in research of the scholarships" emerged form the interrelation of six categories. To be a advisor and researcher of human resources in research form undergraduation requires pedagogical, instrumental, and managerial competencies associated to research policies of nursing and health.

Learning through research: from teaching science to the sphere of nursing care

“…For that, it is desirable that professors/advisors understand the dimension they occupy in this system of human resources training in order to develop competencies in students so they can master the investigative process of nursing science and research policies. 6,18 Teaching through research has important implications for both advisors and scientific initiation grantees; that is, it can motivate and improve the performance of future nurses' scientific practices, 6,18,21 enabling them to understand the importance of science as the foundation of their professional practice, and possibly, to perceive themselves as future consumers of research. 9,18 It is, however, important to emphasize that this scientific supervision should not be restricted to those receiving a scientific initiation grant.…”

A Iniciação Científica como estratégia pedagógica para integrar ensino e serviço no SUS

Nursing training in Brazil and in Portugal: similarities and specificities

It is necessary that there is training and encouragement towards the research at the undergraduate level, since it tends to direct the professional exercise of the nurse to the field of care, with an expanded vision that goes beyond the everyday practice (17) .
