Following this sense the phenomenological approach was chosen as methodological framework , supported by Martin Heidegger phenomenology. “…16 Thus, the situations and complaints relating to the period prior to the hysterectomy brought the women to accept the recommendation and to make the subsequent decision to perform the surgery, which is visualized with the potential of resolution faced with the presence of signs and symptoms experienced in the woman's quotidian. [4][5]8 The body is endowed with values, beliefs and meanings that are transmitted to the woman by people who conduct her socialization process. Even though, for the women in this study, this body references the social role of the woman, a fact which justifies the sexual and reproductive attribute linked to womb, it is clear that, when this body is sick, the universe of meanings assigned to it can be deconstructed, so that the woman is situated in a way that motivates her or not to perform a specific social action, such as hysterectomy.…”

“…7 Research involving hysterectomized women has been performed by nurses. [4][5]8 However, evaluations that refer to the subjective focus of the women themselves, who have undergone this surgical procedure, are still scarce. Attention should be directed toward women subjected to hysterectomy, because they are in a context that is permeated by important concerns related to the recommendation, decision and performance of the surgery.…”

“…By understanding women's health as a public health issue, it is recommended that women should not bee seen as a fragmented individual when seeking health care services to solve their complaints; rather, one must consider the environment where she lives and works, and the social context in which she lives, in addition to listening to and giving her the opportunity to speak about her feelings and needs. [3][4] When women seek this sort of care, they often complain about vaginal discharge, which is considered to be any liquid or semi-liquid discharge, excluding blood, that can result from physiological secretions or due to inflammatory exsudate. 5 The discharges must be investigated in terms of color, odor, consistence, amount, association with pruritus or pain, and its relationship with the use of antibiotics.…”
