ReSUmOPesquisa bibliográfica, cujo objetivo foi caracterizar a produção científica acerca do transporte aéreo de pacientes, em bases de dados indexadas. Encontrou-se 83 referências, 76 na Medline, entre 1997 a 2009, e quatro na Lilacs, de 1999 a 2007. Verificouse maior publicação em 2001, sendo a pesquisa qualitativa mais prevalente. A tendência temática mais evidenciada na Lilacs foi educação e pesquisa. Na Medline foi cuidado de enfermagem no transporte aéreo. Destaca-se escassa regulamentação no que se refere as atribuições do enfermeiro de bordo e a importância da inclusão do conteúdo de enfermagem aeroespacial nos cursos de graduação e pós-graduação. Existem ainda muitas lacunas na produção de conhecimento sobre o tema. Pesquisas que analisem esta interface, qualificam o cuidado de enfermagem aeroespacial. descritores: Enfermagem militar; Enfermagem em emergência; Resgate aéreo; Transporte de pacientes; Medicina aeroespacial. aBStRaCt This bibliographic research aimed to characterize scientific production on air patient transport in indexed databases. The most evident thematic tendency in Lilacs was education and research, against air transport nursing in Medline. The lack of regulation on nurse's tasks on board is highlighted, as well as the importance of including contents on aerospace nursing in undergraduate and graduate courses. Many gaps remain in knowledge production about the theme. Research analyzing this interface qualifies aerospace nursing care.

“…These nurses worked with the Brazilian Expeditionary Force Health Corps (FEB), a troop that depended on the participation of 25,334 citizens in the war against the Nazi-fascist powers. [1][2] The work of such nurses took place in the Italian Theater of Operations, in the field hospitals of the United States of America, which Brazil were allies with during the conflict, in a context where the North American diplomatic Good Neighbor Policy and Pan-Americanism was arduously articulated and propagated in Latin America. 3 From their mobilization for war in 1943, and their exclusion from permanent position in the Army shortly after the end of the conflict in 1945, these nurses began to develop some particular strategies for their reinstatement into this field.…”

Objective: to analyze the symbolic effects of the struggle of the members of the first female nursing group of the Brazilian Armed Forces who were reinstated in the Active Army Military Service after the end of their activities during World War II.Method: historical-social research whose sources consisted of written, oral and photographic documents. The findings were classified, contextualized and analyzed according to the historical method according to Pierre Bourdieu's Social World Theory and Michelle Perrot's studies on the History of Women. Results:showed that the discourses of these nurses, who worked at the Italian Theater of Operations during the war (1943)(1944)(1945) and who were reincorporated into the Brazilian Army in 1957, despite reiterating vocations and stereotypes about Nursing practice, highlighted the remnants of a symbolic struggle for the unprecedented conquest of space, power, and prestige for the profession in this culturally masculinized field. Los hallazgos fueron clasificados, contextualizados y analizados de acuerdo con el método histórico ya la luz de la Teoría del Mundo Social de Pierre Bourdieu y de los estudios de Michelle Perrot sobre la historia de las mujeres.Resultados: la investigación demostró que los discursos de estas enfermeras, que actuaron en el Teatro de Operaciones Italiano durante la guerra (1943)(1944)(1945) y que fueron reincorporadas al Ejército Brasileño en 1957, a pesar de reiterar vocaciones y estereotipos sobre la práctica de Enfermería, Los restos de una lucha propiamente simbólica por la conquista inédita de espacio, poder y prestigio para la profesión en ese campo culturalmente masculinizado.Conclusión: la re-inclusión de esas enfermeras en el Servicio Militar Activo del Ejército sirvió de fundamentación para la creación de nuevos cuerpos militarizados femeninos en el ámbito de las Fuerzas Armadas, a partir de la década de 1980.

Potencialidades e limitações do uso da fotografia na pesquisa qualitativa de enfermagem

The tradition of using photography in social research goes back to the nineteenth century to the early work of anthropology, which used it to record habits and traditions of exotic populations. Then, sociology, history and psychology, among other disciplines became interested in using photos to register reality and also as a tool to obtain subjective data. The aims of the present study were to identify what is being done using photography in qualitative research in nursing and summarize the potentialities and limitations of such use. A Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Synthesis of primary studies has been done. It included qualitative research studies done by nurses or about nurses that had used photography on their Method. The terms defined to guide the search were: Photography, Qualitative Research and Nursing. The databases searched included PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, PsycInfo, Scopus, ISI, BVS e SciELO. There was no time limit for publication. The final sample included 31 articles. The results showed the use of photography in the following methods: Photovoice, Photo-Elicitation, Ethnographies and Mixed Methods. The potentialities identified for photography usage were: Emancipation of subjects; Giving voice to vulnerable groups; Better understanding of subjects' situation; Detailed recording of reality; Richness of data obtained; Allowing the subject to review their life experiences; Therapeutic effect in subjects; Proximity between the interviewer and the subject; Giving prominence to the subject; Dissemination of collections and the method acceptance. The limitations identified were: Skill in handling the camera; Family censorship; Invasion of individual and familiar privacy; Risk of data manipulation; Equipment availability; Cost and need for specialized personnel; and Data from secondary sources. With these results, especially when considering the potentialities presented, it is concluded that photography is a useful resource for qualitative research that allows nurses as researchers, to account for the peculiarities of nursing as a social practice, contributing to the empowerment of vulnerable population.
