Helicobacter Pylori Infection and Gastric Cancer Precursor Lesions: Prevalence and Associated Factors in a Reference Laboratory in Southeastern Brazil

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Helicobacter pylori infection is the most important risk factor for gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia, both considered gastric cancer precursor lesions.
