This study aims to evaluate the richness of the Papilionoideae species found in the Parque Estadual das Várzeas do Rio Ivinhema (PEVRI), which is located in the southeast region of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, and investigate if the habits of this Leguminosae group vary in different formations of the park. Monthly collections, including all habits, were made by walking along pre-established trails, from September 2004 to September 2009. The PEVRI includes Seasonal Semideciduous Forest, Seasonal Alluvial Semideciduous Forest and fields. Twenty-three species distributed in 16 genera and 5 tribes were recorded. Phaseoleae was noted with 7 genera, followed by Dalbergieae with 6 genera and Desmodieae, Indigofereae and Crotalarieae with only 1 genus in each species. Among the 16 recorded genera, Crotalaria L. (4), Aeschynomene L. (3), Desmodium Desv., and Vigna Savi (2) were the most representative. The Papilionoideae with herbaceous and subshrub habits were predominant in humid and pastures, while arboreous species and lianas were recorded in the Seasonal Semideciduous Forest. Nine species of Papilionoideae were recorded in humid grasslands, eight species in Seasonal Semideciduous Forest, and only one in Alluvial Semideciduous Forest. Papilionoideae found in the PEVRI have also been recorded in cerrado, Seasonal Semideciduous Forest and Pantanal, except Andira inermis, which does not present a reference for Seasonal Alluvial Semideciduous Forest.

-(Leguminosae-Papilionoideae in the Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais State, Brazil). A floristic survey of the Papilionoideae in the Serra do Cabral is presented. The region is part of a mountain range belonging to the Cadeia do Espinhaço, located between latitudes 17º18'-18º06'S and longitudes 44º43'-44º10'W, with altitudes from 515 to 1,400 m, where the predominant formations are Cerrado and Campos Rupestres. The subfamily is represented in the area by 12 tribes, 34 genera and 62 species. Twenty five species occur only in Brazil, six are endemic to Minas Gerais State and 17 are restricted to Cerrado. The restricted distribution of most species found suggests that the taxa grows only on specific phytophysiognomies and are dependent of the preservation of these habitats for survival. A list of genera and species, with their respective identification keys, data on the geographical distribution and the phytogeographic domains where species occur are presented. É apresentado um levantamento das Papilionoideae da Serra do Cabral. A região faz parte da Cadeia do Espinhaço, estando localizada entre as latitudes 17º18'-18º06' S e as longitudes 44º43'-44º10'W, com altitudes que variam de 515 a 1.400 m, onde predominam formações de Cerrado e Campo Rupestre. A subfamília está representada na área por 12 tribos, 34 gêneros e 62 espécies. Vinte e cinco espécies só ocorrem no Brasil, seis são endêmicas do Estado de Minas Gerais e 17 estão restritas ao Cerrado. A distribuição restrita de grande parte das espécies encontradas sugere que esses táxons desenvolvem-se apenas em fitofisionomias específicas sendo, portanto, dependentes da preservação desses ambientes para a sobrevivência. Além de uma lista de gêneros e espécies, com suas respectivas chaves de identificação, também são apresentados dados de distribuição geográfica e os domínios fitogeográficos nos quais as espécies ocorrem.

-(Papilionoideae (Leguminosae) of Planalto Residual do Urucum, western Pantanal region, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil). The Pantanal of southern Mato Grosso do Sul is characterized by sedimentary deposits plains and isolated hills groups. One of these hills groups is the Planalto Residual do Urucum (1065 m), which is constituted by seven mountain ranges. Sixty-seven species of Papilionoideae, grouped into 31 genera and 11 tribes were found: Phaseoleae (Calopogonium, Camptosema, Canavalia, Centrosema, Clitoria, Eriosema, Erythrina, Galactia, Macroptilium, Phaseolus, Rhynchosia and Vigna), Dalbergieae (Aeschynomene, Andira, Chaetocalyx, Machaerium, Platypodium, Stylosanthes and Zornia), Desmodieae (Alysicarpus and Desmodium), Sophoreae (Acosmium and Sweetia), Swartzieae (Amburana and Ateleia), Crotalarieae (Crotalaria), Dipterygeae (Dipteryx), Indigoferae (Indigofera), Millettieae (Lonchocarpus), Robineae (Coursetia) and Sesbanieae (Sesbania). The most numerous genera are Desmodium and Stylosanthes (six species), Galactia and Zornia (fi ve species). Keys, descriptions, illustrations for eight taxa and geographical distribution are provided.
