“…Aggression by cutting object was also one of the factors found in the study. The use of penetrating, sharp or blunt objects in female homicides indicates greater interpersonal contact, being used because they are close to the aggressor at the time of the conflict and do not reflect the premeditation involved in the firearm (36) . Analysis of the homicides of men and women, based on data from the Petrolina Institute of Forensic Medicine (PE), showed that, for both sexes, there was a predominance of perforating or blunt objects, however women were assaulted with more injuries in the thorax and abdomen regions (35) .…”
