Abstract: Resumo Este artigo discute formatos desejáveis para um plano nacional de capacitação financeira, a partir da experiência brasileira. As propostas convencionais usualmente dão excessiva importância à educação financeira, sob justificativa de que a transferência de conhecimento e informação é a melhor forma de promover alfabetização, capacitação e bem-estar financeiro.
