Fotografia e ciência: a utopia da imagem objetiva e seus usos nas ciências e na medicina

Abstract: O artigo analisa como a fotografia foi empregada no interior das ciências e, especificamente, na medicina ocidental, desde a segunda metade do século XIX até as primeiras décadas do século XX. Nesse período, a fotografia sedimentou o seu papel como instrumento de registro, de conhecimento e de divulgação das práticas médicas, inicialmente na Europa.
