Investigation on Structural, Morphological and Relaxometric Properties of Lamellar Zrp Modified with Long Chain Amine

Abstract: In order to search nanofiller for controlling release of drugs lamellar α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) was modified with ether-amine oligomer (E-A). Synthesis and chemical modification followed specific reaction conditions and different EA:ZrP ratios. Infrared spectra showed strong interaction between P-OH and NH 2 groups. Thermogravimetric curves showed that ether-amine oligomer was incorporated by ZrP. Interlamellar space of α-ZrP increased at least four times indicating intercalation. The relaxometry analysi… Show more

“…In both ranges, the PP absorptions were clearly noticed and in agreement with the reported by Carvalho et al and Hummel and Scholl [33][34]. The absorptions at 3595 and 3511 cm À1 were concerned with the asymmetric and symmetric stretching of P-OH group/water hydrogen bonds in the crystalline arrangement in the phosphate interlamellar region as registered elsewhere 27. Due to their low intensity did not appear in the nanocomposites.…”

“…[33][34] The absorptions at 3595 and 3511 cm À1 were concerned with the asymmetric and symmetric stretching of P-OH group/water hydrogen bonds in the crystalline arrangement in the phosphate interlamellar region as registered elsewhere. 27 Due to their low intensity did not appear in the nanocomposites. For the nanocomposites, ordinary absorptions were observed at around 3000-2800 cm À1 associated with the C-H asymmetric and symmetric stretching of CH 3 and CH 2 groups attached to the PP chains and Jeffamine TM .…”

“…Extensively studied zirconium and titanium phosphates (TiPs) possess peculiar lamellar crystalline arrangements allowing intercalation with short-and long-chain amines. [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13] Uryupina and coauthors investigated the influence of TiP on stability of epoxy resin suspension. They mentioned the increase of suspension stability owing to the formation of the adsorption shell on nanoparticles.…”
