Um Segundo Turno entre Leibniz e Descartes: o infinito contra o negacionismo

Abstract

Resumo Neste texto, buscamos caminhos para o enfrentamento do negacionismo científico, que já mostrou ser instrumento de uma política de morte. Situamos nossos argumentos em uma disputa entre a noção de exatidão, herdada do pensamento cartesiano, e a inclusão do infinito na matemática tal como proposta por Leibniz, com base na posição de que o incompreensível desperta o pensamento. A partir dessa inspiração, que faz referência a um momento determinante da história da matemática, defendemos uma educação como política de vida, que produza outras narrativas, capazes de adiar o fim do mundo.
