Caracterização Genética E Distribuição Geográfica Do Vírus Rábico Isolado De Bovinos No Estado De Mato Grosso, Brasil

Estes resultad… Show more

“…[19][20][21] The RABV genetic material is a single-stranded RNA molecule approximately 11.9-12.3 kb in length, and its viral genome is composed of five structural proteins: surface glycoprotein (G), nucleoprotein (N), phosphoprotein (P), matrix protein (M), and an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (L). 21,22 The virion particles measure 60-110 nm × 130-250 nm and comprise a lipid envelope and a helical nucleocapsid. 21 Despite the severity of the disease, currently, available vaccines consist mainly of purified, concentrated, and inactivated rabies viruses, and are used in pre-and post-exposure protocols.…”

“…The Rabies virus (RABV) is a pathogen responsible for causing rabies, an anthropozoonotic disease with a mortality rate close to 100%, and is responsible for more than 60 000 deaths worldwide annually 19‐21 .
