No iLPF… Show more

“…It is probable that the higher root volume improved soil structure due to the highest tree density in Paricá III. Assis et al (2015) also reported greater changes in soil density and pore distribution in the layer of 0.10-0.20 m, in integrated systems.…”

“…2018 DOI: 10.1590/S0100-204X2018000300010 livestock integration. However, the topic has been broadly discussed (Diel et al, 2014;Souza Neto et al, 2014;Assis et al, 2015;Nogueira et al, 2016), given the potential to recover degraded areas, mainly those covered with pasture.…”

“…For example, Assis et al (2015) aimed to determine the alterations in the physical features of the 0-0.10-and 0.10-0.20-m layers of Cerrado soil under iCLW, that is, iLPF1 and iLPF3, respectively; the results allowed the authors to conclude that the iCLW systems enhanced the physical quality of the soil relative to degraded pasture. Patterns of density and porosity in the 0.10-0.20-m soil layer were mainly responsible for discriminating the integrated systems from degraded pasture.…”

“…Although soil conservation was not considered a priority in government agendas in the past (Guerra et al, 2014), many agricultural production systems focusing on soil conservation have been developed and are being used in Brazil over recent decades. In commodity producing regions, some management systems have been rising in importance, such as no-tillage system (NTS), crop-livestock integrated system (CLIS) and croplivestock-forest integrated system (CLFIS) (Muniz et al, 2011;Assis et al, 2015), while in other regions, family farmers are also experiencing new integrated systems, such as organic farming and agroforestry (Martinelli et al, 2010). Evaluating the impact of these technologies on soil ES is required to subsidize decision-making and international agreements.…”
