Abstract: Resumen Introdución El artículo se propone estudiar la Vicepresidencia y su papel en la conformación de las coaliciones políticas. La Vicepresidencia es una institución poco estudiada en América Latina. En los diferentes países presentan funciones que pueden ser distintas, pero hay una en común: el reemplazo del Presidente en caso de ausencia temporal o definitiva.
