A amostra incluiu 502 adultos. Utilizou-se análises fatoriais confirmatórias (AFC) para avaliar a estrutura configural (dimensionalidade) e métrica (magnitude de cargas fatoriais, correlações residuais e validade fatorial discriminante). A avaliação de consistência in… Show more

“…These modifications are common and expected in different populations, and are explained by cultural differences, including regionalism, access to food, socioeconomic aspects, and food culture [23,34]. Even though the study conducted by Heitor et al [27] was also carried out in Brazil, our results ended up differing in terms of the resulting FCQ structure. The differences in the regions where the studies were conducted, as well as the heterogeneity of the country, may explain these differences.…”

“…The FCQ was translated into Portuguese and adapted for the Brazilian culture by Heitor et al [26]. This same research group conducted a study with a Brazilian sample aiming to analyze the dimensional structure and reliability of the FCQ [27]. However, no study was conducted in Brazil to explore other factors underlying food choices, such as risk perceptions, for example.…”

“…To review the determinants of food choice, the Food Choice Questionnaire (FCQ), created by the Englishman Steptoe in 1995 was applied after it was translated, adapted and validated for the Brazilian adult population. With the aim at validating the process, this instrument was first applied to 86 students [14][15][16].…”

“…The central question of the FCQ that the participants had to answer was the level of importance that the food consumed on a daily basis would have. Thus, 36 items were evaluated in this perspective, which were classified by a scoring scale whose degree of importance varied from one to four: one was equivalent to not important, two to slightly important, three to moderately important and four to very important [15,16].…”
