Elas não ficaram em casa. As primeiras mulheres deputadas na década de 1950 no Brasil

Abstract

Resumo O artigo tem como objetivo principal examinar a trajetória de vida de doze mulheres pioneiras na política brasileira pós Estado Novo que foram eleitas deputadas estaduais e federais na década de 1950, para verificar quais condições e razões concorreram para sua entrada na carreira política em disputas eleitorais. O propósito não é abordar a biografia dessas mulheres individualmente, mas tomá-las como um grupo observado em sua diversidade. Nesse sentido, buscamos construir uma biografia de grupo que mostre sua diversidade e não excepcionalidade, conferindo visibilidade histórica a essas mulheres no espaço da polí-tica. Para que se apreenda a diversidade dessa relação diante da carga biográfica de cada personagem, trabalhamos com temas: família; educação; casamento e vida familiar; vida profissional e atuação pública; vida política. Para a construção desta biografia de grupo foram analisadas notas biográficas, acervos dos legislativos, notícias da imprensa, diários oficiais, trabalhos acadêmicos foram fontes exaustivamente pesquisados, além de bibliografia especializada. A análise de um conjunto de documentos mostra que não havia um padrão comum para as mulheres que entraram na política naqueles anos no Brasil. Representação política feminina sob a ótica das eleitoras brasileiras

“…Em linha similar de pensamento, Rendel (2018) e Potechi (2019) chamam atenção para alguns dos elementos da socialização diferenciada das mulheres, destacando-se a definição sexual dos papeis sociais; o sistema educacional e as chamadas carreiras tradicionais ''femininas'', ligadas, em geral, ao cuidado, bem-estar, educação e saúde; aos preconceitos, mitos e tabus difundidos pelos meios de comunicação de massa (sobretudo no que tange à reprodução da representação dos papeis sociais); a influência da religião no processo de socialização política das novas gerações.
