Environmental degradation and agriculture: an approach in countries by middle of indexes

Abstract: Society evolution is commonly followed by changes; however, some of them bring negative implications for the community. One of these consequences refers to environmental degradation, which has agricultural activity as one of its influencing agents, which is essentially characterized by man’s predatory actions. Accordingly, this research analyzed the environmental degradation in 167 pattern in the agricultural world. Therefore, the Agricultural Environmental Degradation Index (IDAA) was used as a proxy for agri… Show more

“…In certain regions, the conversion of land use can lead to the transformation of natural patches within cultivated areas, eventually converting them into cultivated fields as a result of the aggregation process. Humans and agriculture are inextricably linked, and as such, human activities have long been associated with environmental degradation (Nienhuis et al, 2020;Pinto et al, 2021), and the existence of aggregation processes in agricultural patches is not a positive indicator of Nyungwe-Kibira Forest. In addition to the aggregate transformation types that were prominent in the region, 24% of the territory was in the dissection process (Figure 8A).…”

“…The findings explored that temperature and precipitation have a detrimental influence on agriculture output. Pinto et al, (2021) examined 167 patterns of environmental degradation in the agricultural world and discovered that Russia, which is part of the European continent, had the worst environmental conditions. On the other hand, Africa, North America, and Oceania dominated the other positions.…”
