RESUMOObjetivou-se descrever os determinantes da adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso de hipertensos usuários da atenção primária à saúde. Trata-se de estudo transversal analítico, realizado com 150 hipertensos cadastrados no Programa Hiperdia de 29 equipes da Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF), do município de Uberaba-MG. Os dados foram coletados no período de março a julho de 2014, e os instrumentos utilizados foram de caracterização sociodemográfica e clínica assim como a medida de adesão ao tratamento (MAT). Os dados foram submetidos à análise descritiva, ao teste qui-quadrado e à regressão logística. A adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso foi de 90,7%, segundo a MAT. Ter renda própria foi preditor da adesão ao tratamento, segundo a regressão logística. Os dados apresentados evidenciaram a interferência de fatores econômicos na adesão ao tratamento bem como a valorização e o aprimoramento da atenção básica em saúde na prevenção, no tratamento e controle da HAS. ABSTR ACTThis study aimed to describe the determinants of adherence to drug treatment of hypertensive users of Primary Health Care. This is an analytical cross-sectional study with participation of 150 hypertensive patients registered in the Hiperdia Program of 29 Family Health Strategy (FHS), the city of Uberaba -MG. Data collection took place from March to July 2014 and the instruments used were: instrument for sociodemographic and clinical characterization, the Treatment Adherence Measure (TAM). Data were submitted to descriptive analysis, chi-square test and logistic regression models. Adherence to drug treatment was 90.7%, according to TAM. Having personal income was a predictor of treatment adherence according to the logistic regression. The data presented show the interference of economic factors on adherence, as well as to the development and improvement of Primary Health Care in the prevention, treatment and control of hypertension. RESUMENEste estudio tuvo como objetivo describir los factores determinantes de la adhesión al tratamiento farmacológico de hipertensos. Se trata de un estudio analítico transversal del cual participaron 150 hipertensos inscritos en el Programa Hiperdia de 29 equipos de la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia (ESF), del municipio de Uberaba -MG. Los datos fueron recogidos entre marzo y julio de 2014 y los instrumentos utilizados fueron de caracterización sociodemográfica y clínico así como la medida de adhesión al tratamiento (MAT). Los datos fueron sometidos al análisis descriptivo, a la prueba chi-cuadrado y a la regresión logística, La adhesión al tratamiento medicamentoso fue de 90,7%, según la MAT. El factor del ingreso propio fue predictor de la adhesión al tratamiento según la regresión logística. ABSTRACT:Objective: To evaluate the adequacy of sphygmomanometer cuff to brachial circumference (BC) of individuals treated at Primary Health Care Centers. Methods: Epidemiological, observational, and quantitative cross-sectional study. A total of 381 blood pressure (BP) readings conducted by nursing professionals were observed at 18 service units selected by drawing, considering two modalities of care centers. The correct use of the cuff was the main outcome variable. The BC was measured using inelastic measuring tape. The tests used for statistical analysis were Student's t-test, χ 2 , or Fisher's exact test. Results: The measurement of BC ranged from 19.5 to 45.0 cm (mean = 30.4; standard deviation -SD = 4.3). Among the BP measurements, 218 (57.2%) of them were conducted with the appropriately sized cuff, being more frequent in the units with Family Health Teams (59.6 versus 40.4; p < 0.001). Ninety-three (24.2%) BC measurements were < 27 cm and 63 (16.5%) were > 34 cm. The adult cuff was used correctly 209 (59.4%) times and the large adult cuff was used correctly 9 (31.0%) times. Conclusion: The study found an inadequacy in the use of the cuff in 42.8% of blood pressure readings in the Primary Health Care Centers. Similar studies should be performed in other cities and areas to estimate the effect of this problem in the diagnosis and monitoring of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH).

Objective: To compare care for hypertension among teams that elaborate and do not elaborate care plans to hypertensive individuals and their families. Methods: This evaluative and cross-sectional study included 63 nurses from the Family Health Strategy. Data were collected using a structured instrument recommended by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, which was designed and validated by researches. Mean and median scores from evaluated sub-dimensions were compared according to elaboration of care plan by using the Student t test and Mann-Whitney test. Results: Scores obtained for the sub-dimensions of health promotion and individualized care were significantly higher among teams that elaborated care plans for individuals with hypertension and their families. Conclusion: Family Health Strategy teams that elaborate care plans to individuals with hypertension and their families had better performance in care practices of health promotion and individualized care. ResumoObjetivo: Comparar a assistência em hipertensão arterial entre equipes que elaboram e que não elaboram planos de cuidado, à pessoa com hipertensão arterial e sua família. Métodos: Estudo avaliativo e transversal, realizado com 63 enfermeiros da Estratégia Saúde da Família. Coletaram-se os dados mediante instrumento estruturado preconizado pelo Ministério da Saúde, elaborado e validado pelos pesquisadores. Compararam-se médias/medianas de pontuações obtidas nas subdimensões avaliadas, segundo elaboração do plano de cuidados, por meio dos testes t de Student e Mann-Whitney. Resultados: As pontuações obtidas nas subdimensões promoção da saúde e atendimento individual foram significativamente maiores entre equipes que elaboravam plano de cuidados para os indivíduos com hipertensão arterial e suas famílias. Conclusão: As equipes da Estratégia Saúde da Família que elaboravam planos de cuidados às pessoas com hipertensão arterial e suas famílias apresentaram melhor desempenho nas práticas assistenciais de promoção da saúde e atendimento individual.
