Objectives: to analyze care strategies for breast cancer screening in Primary Health Care in Brazil. Methods: this is a systematic review following the Cochrane Collaboration recommendations. Results: among 355 manuscripts, five were eligible. The patient navigation program by Community Health Agent stood out with the best result, among the strategies: flexibility of goals considering viability; community engagement; team training; active search of the target population by Community Health Agent; request for mammography by physicians; actions integrated to women’s health; monitoring of mammography results, absent users, and population coverage by physician and nurse; and assessment of criteria for requesting screening mammography by means of an information system. The population coverage rate in the program ranged from 23% to 88%. Conclusions: Primary Health Care in Brazil presents devices with potential to induce the production of care for breast cancer screening.

Tuberkulosis merupakan masalah kesehatan global terutama yang terjadi di negara berkembang dan dapat menyebabkan kematian. Penatalaksanaan tuberkulosis di Indonesia mengalami kendala antara lain kegagalan pengobatan dan stigma negatif. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan deteksi dini, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan ketrampilan dalam pencegahan penularan tuberkulosis dengan melibatkan kader kesehatan, tokoh masyarakat, dan puskesmas pembina wilayah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan melalui pendekatan model information, motivation, and behavioral skills berdasarkan hasil evidence based practice. Deteksi dini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 orang (4,7%) yang mengalami gejala utama tuberkulosis yaitu batuk berdahak 2 minggu atau lebih. Gejala tambahan yang paling sering dialami berupa penurunan berat badan dijumpai sebanyak 8 orang (18,6%). Mayoritas masyarakat mempunyai information, motivation, and behavioral skills yang positif setelah kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan ketrampilan dalam pencegahan tuberkulosis. Rekomendasi kegiatan ini adalah untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat secara berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan stakeholder terkait dan pendekatan model information, motivation, and behavioral skills.

Percepção de enfermeiros: enfoque na família e orientação para a comunidade nas ações de tuberculose

Objetivo: avaliar os atributos da Atenção Primária à Saúde “enfoque na família” e “orientação para a comunidade” no controle da tuberculose, na percepção de enfermeiros. Métodos: estudo descritivo, do tipo inquérito, realizado de forma transversal a partir da abordagem quantitativa. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de entrevistas com a versão para profissionais de saúde do formulário Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool), Brasil, cuja categoria de resposta varia segundo a escala Likert. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva. Resultados: foram entrevistados 43 enfermeiros. A partir das respostas, obteve-se média do escore geral igual a 4,30 (quase sempre) e 2,62 (às vezes) para as dimensões “enfoque na família” e “orientação para a comunidade”, respectivamente. A avaliação das dimensões identificou que as ações são centradas no doente, abrangendo superficialmente a família e, em menor frequência, a comunidade. Conclusão:é essencial a sensibilização dos profissionais em relação a esses aspectos, já que, por meio dessas dimensões, pode-se contribuir com o controle da doença enquanto problema de saúde pública.
