ResumoO estudo tem como objetivos identificar o papel do enfermeiro no processo do envelhecimento saudável, a sua contribuição para a promoção e a prevenção de saúde da população e analisar as ações de promoção e prevenção à saúde desenvolvida pelos profissionais de enfermagem junto à população. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva de natureza qualitativa. Foi utilizado como instrumento de coleta de dados, um questionário semiestruturado, os sujeitos da pesquisa foram oito enfermeiros da Atenção Básica que atuam nas Estratégia de Saúde da Família a pelo menos um ano e que se dispuseram a participar da pesquisa, no município de Vassouras/RJ. Os dados foram analisados pelo método de análise de conteúdo. Com o estudo foi possível reconhecer que a maioria dos profissionais da enfermagem tem o conhecimento do conceito saúde, porém embora tenha relatos da realização de ações para promover a saúde, identificou-se, que há poucas ofertas as ações de promoção implantadas nas unidades.Observando assim, a necessidade de implantação de mais estratégias direcionadas a comunidade que o profissional encontra-se inserida, que fará uma melhor assistência à saúde, contribuindo para a redução de complicações através da educação voltadas a população em um todo, direcionadas para o cuidar da saúde. AbstractThe objective of this study is to identify the role of nurses in the process of healthy aging, their contribution to the promotion and prevention of health of the population and to analyze the actions of promotion and prevention to health developed by nursing professionals in the population. This is an exploratory and descriptive research of a qualitative nature. A semi-structured questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, the subjects of the research were eight Primary Care nurses who have been working in the Family Health Strategy for at least one year and who were willing to participate in the study in the municipality of Vassouras / RJ. The data were analyzed by the content analysis method. With the study it was possible to recognize that the majority of nursing professionals have knowledge of the concept of health, but although there are reports of actions to promote health, it was identified that there are few offers the promotion actions implemented in the units. thus, the need to implement more strategies directed to the community that the professional is inserted, which will make a better health care, contributing to the reduction of complications through education directed at the population as a whole, directed towards health care.

Objectives: to evaluate the attributes of primary health care, care coordination and longitudinality, from the perception of the professional and patients in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Methods: quantitative evaluative study, in which was used an external evaluation instrument with 469 professionals and 1,888 patients from 367 primary health care facilities that adhered to the Program for Improving Access and Quality of primary health care (Portuguese acronym: PMAQ) standardized by the Ministry of Health. Data were grouped by multivariate cluster analysis in order to find a classification of primary health care from the perspective of professionals and patients. Results: the attributes of coordination and longitudinality are still expressed in a weak and undeveloped way in the Brazilian Amazon scenario. Conclusions: it is necessary to recognize the organizational barriers and what could promote conditions for the performance of health care teams in the perspective of a continuous, integral and coordinated care.

Resumo Objetivo: avaliar a longitudinalidade do cuidado na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) na perspectiva dos usuários, verificando a associação com o porte populacional, índice de desenvolvimento humano e cobertura de Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF) entre os municípios de uma Regional de Saúde no Sul do Brasil. Método: estudo transversal, realizado com 1.076 usuários adultos da APS de 32 municípios da 4ᵃ Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde do Rio Grande do Sul, de fevereiro a junho de 2015. Os dados foram coletados com o instrumento Primary Care Assessment Tool versão adulto e analisados com o programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Para a comparação de médias utilizou-se o teste Mann-Whitney e Kruskal Wallis. Resultados: o grau de afiliação foi avaliado com alto escore (8,6; IC95%:8,5-8,8) e a longitudinalidade obteve um escore insatisfatório (6,4; IC95%:6,3-6,5). As fragilidades relacionadas ao atributo foram a relação interpessoal entre o usuário e profissional; o reconhecimento do usuário em sua integralidade e o preparo dos profissionais para auxiliar os usuários. A longitudinalidade foi melhor avaliada nos municípios com menor porte populacional, menor índice de desenvolvimento humano e com maior cobertura de ESF. Conclusão: a longitudinalidade é insatisfatória e revela a necessidade de reorientação da APS e da formação profissional, contudo a maior cobertura da ESF sugere que esse modelo assistencial contribui para qualificar esse atributo.
