Abstract:Neste artigo, pretendemos reavaliar a querela tradutória em torno do Trieb freudiano. Primeiro, destacamos trechos em que Freud, ao citar Frazer, Trotter e Le Bon, traduz o termo “instinct” ora por “Instinkt”, ora por “Trieb”, de forma indiferenciada. Também retomamos a tradução que Freud fez de livros de Bernheim, em que emprega “Instinct” para traduzir o “instinct” francês.
