Recurrent respiratory tract infections (rRTIs), of which there are three main groups-otitis media, tonsillitis and sinusopathies-are very common in paediatric populations and are associated with significant morbidity and mortality due to complications. These infections substantially reduce quality of life for paediatric patients and their families and are a significant personal, medical and economic burden on the patients, the patients' families and the healthcare system. Most rRTIs are of viral origin; however, indiscriminate use of antibiotics in their treatment has led to development of bacterial resistance. Effective management of rRTIs to reduce the burden of disease and to avoid overuse of antibiotics has become a great therapeutic challenge. New strategies for the management of paediatric rRTIs include focus on prevention using non-specific immunomodulators to boost the body's natural defences against infection and to downregulate Enhanced digital features To view enhanced digital features for this article go to

Во всем мире регистрируется рост распространенности острых и хронических риносинуситов среди взрослого и детского населения. В настоящее время риносинусит, безусловно, является социально значимым заболеванием. Однако анализ данных современной литературы показывает отсутствие единых взглядов на классификацию, этиологические и эпидемиологические аспекты данного заболевания. Все это создает серьезные трудности в разработке унифицированных протоколов диагностики и лечения, способствует росту заболеваемости, в том числе распространенности осложненных форм (гнойно-септических и внутричерепных).

Распространенность синусита/риносинусита составляет 10-30% в общей популяции, хронические формы диагностируются у 5-15% взрослого населения и у 5% детей. В патогенезе важную роль играют образующиеся биопленки, затрудняющие лечение больных, особенно рецидивирующим и хроническим риносинуситом. Новая активная элиминационно-ирригационная интраназальная терапия с применением средства «Аквалор ® Актив софт», содержащего газированный изотонический раствор стерильной морской воды (концентрация NaCl 0,9%; концентрация СО 2 0,4%) обеспечивает разрушение биопленок и значительное снижение микробной нагрузки, что целесообразно использовать при лечении больных риносинуситом, особенно рецидивирующего и хронического течения.Ключевые слова: дети, хронический риносинусит, рецидивирующий риносинусит, ирригационно-элиминационная терапия, газированный изотонический раствор стерильной морской воды, «Аквалор ® Актив софт».
