“…They showed that treatment response was 83.3% in the licorice-group compared to 62.5% in the control group ( P = 0.018). When distinguishing between peptic ulcer disease and non-ulcer dyspepsia, significantly better response to treatment was only observed in patients with peptic ulcer ( P = 0.034)[96].…”

“…[45] Antibacterial GA increased the eradication rate of H. pylori in patients with gastrointestinal disorders. [60][61][62] Antioxidant GA were able to increase the intracellular reduced glutathione concentration, in AFB1-treated cells. “…Some approaches have demonstrated the GA treating H. pylori infection increased the eradication rate in patients with peptic ulcer dyspepsia [60]. The biological mechanisms involve antibacterial and anti-adhesive effects against H. pylori by blocking the dihydrofolate reductase enzyme and inhibiting DNA gyrase [61].…”

“…41 A randomized-controlled clinical trial found that addition of Radix Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae to the triple clarithromycin-based regimen increased H. pylori eradication. 65 What's more, the Radix Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae is as effective as bismuth in eradicating H. pylori. Therefore, Radix Rhizoma…”
