1-Aminoacyl-2,3-dihydro-4(1H)-quinazolinone derivatives with choleretic and antifibrillatory activity

Abstract: Twenty four new l-aminoacyl-2,3-dihydro-4( III)-quinazolinone derivatives were prepared and evaluated for their pharmacological properties. The compounds with a cyclic amino group showed a choleretic activity. Some substances displayed also antifibrillatory and antiphlogistic activity.

“…The quinazolinone moiety contained in natural products (Luotonin, Rutaecarpine, Tryptanthrin, Chloroqualone, Alloqualone, etc) represents medicinally and pharmaceutically important class of compounds [23,24] because of their diverse range of biological activities such as anti-cancer, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and anti-hypertensive [25,26]. In recent years, quinazolinone embedded numerous natural products have been identified [27].…”

“…These are widely used in biological and pharmaceutical activities [1]. The quinazolinones display wide range of biological activities such as antitumor [2,3], antidefibrillatory [4], antidepressant [5], analgesic [6], diuretic [7], antihistamine [8], vasodilating [9], antihypertensive [10], CNS stimulant [11], tranquilizing [12] and antianxietic [13]. Some representative drug molecules having quinazoline skeleton are shown in Figure 1.…”
