Infliximab (IFX) is an anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) monoclonal antibody used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and Crohn's disease. Rarely, anti-TNF-induced lupus (ATIL) may occur. ATIL differs from classical drug-induced lupus. We report a 49-year-old woman who developed polyarthralgia after 2 years of IFX treatment for Crohn's disease. Based on the autoantibody profiles, ATIL was diagnosed and low-dose glucocorticoid, hydroxychloroquine, and celecoxib were prescribed. However, arthralgia and hemolytic anemia developed. Because the anti-dsDNA titers waxed and waned, she was switched to vedolizumab, a monoclonal antibody to the human lymphocyte α4β7 integrin. Six months after switching treatment, the arthralgia had improved and the anti-dsDNA antibody normalized. Here, we report a case of ATIL that resolved after switching from infliximab to vedolizumab.
This study aims to find the perception and utilization of the citizen about the dryness watch warning (DWW) among special weather reports. For this we have made up a descriptive questionnaire including the perception, utilization of special weather reports. Using the SPSS 17.0 program, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test were used to analyze the collected data. The results are as follows; The perception of DWW is measured by 4 point Likert scale and the average is 15.97±3.70 (percentile=57.0). This value shows that the awareness level is not that high and according to the occupation, college students show the lowest awareness and housewives show the highest awareness. According to the age, the teens and twenties show the lowest awareness and fifties and sixties show the highest awareness. Although the perception of the teens and college students are rather poor, there were many positive answers that it is necessary to establish the advanced disaster prevention plan according to the questionnaire about the utilization of DWW.
The purpose of the study was to explore the nurses' perception of flexible working and present an operational guideline for implementation. The data were collected from a survey of 532 nurses conducted from 10 February to 24 February, 2015, using simple random sampling. SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data. This study found that the demanding for shorter hour shifts was highest (M=3.89±0.87) and 242 participants (46.2%) intended to apply the shift, followed by a fixed night shift, fixed weekend shift, and 12 hour shift. The common reasons identified were the poor environment of shift work and the challenges of child care. The increased time for personal development, relaxation activity to improve the quality of life and child care was highlighted and work-life balance was noted as a positive impact of flexible working. The negative impacts of flexible working were being likely to become temporary workers. These results can help establish uniform working conditions of nurses in the future by providing a standardized operational guideline as a precondition for reasonable compensation and working environment according to a flexible working pattern.
