We studied seasonal changes in groundˆsh species composition in the East China and Yellow Seas. Both the East China Sea (ECS) and the Yellow Sea (YS) are importantˆshing grounds for demersalˆshes and macroinvertebrates. Trawl surveys were conducted during winter to clarify the species composition of crabs and describe changes in abundance of portunid crabs in ECS in 1991 2007 and in YS in 1991 1996 with the exception of several years.
