Interpreting is an advanced activity in the use of the language that requires various linguistic and nonlinguistic skills. In this article we will address the necessary skills of interpretation, the teaching of this activity and we will expose the curriculum applied in the two Departments of Spanish Language of Al-Azhar University (Department for Boys and Department for Girls). We will carry out an empirical test in which some students who have a good level and have just finished the third and fourth year (2020/2021) make some interpretation exercises. Through the fulfilment of these exercises, we will try to examine their abilities and acceptability to practice interpreting and to what extent does the current curriculum help them to practice interpreting. There will be a description of the performance of the students and a general assessment of their performance in each exercise. This makes us
