The present study aimed at identifying the relationship between suicidal thinking and emotional dysregulation and revealing family systems among individuals with suicidal thinking and emotional dysregulation. The study sample consisted of (176) students from the third grades at Faculty of Education, New Valley University. The study used Suicide Probability Scale prepared by Abd Elrakeeb Ahmed Elbeheary (2013), the emotional dysregulation scale prepared by Kaufman et al.,(2016) (translated by the researcher), and Family Appreciation test prepared by Abd Elrakeeb Ahmed Elbeheary. The study has found a statistically significant correlation between suicidal thinking and emotional dysregulation and emotional dysregulation contributes to the prediction of suicidal thinking. The study has also found that there are factors lead to suicidal thinking and emotional dysregulation in family systems including family and marital conflict, anger, anxiety, sadness and depression in these families, parents are more stressors than allies, and the cases are subjected to physical and emotional abuse.
