Метою статті є виявлення місця і значення фортепіанних творів епохи романтизму в еволюції баянного перекладу та окреслення специфіки їх трансформації. Методологія дослідження полягає в застосуванні компаративного та історико-логічного методів вивчення означеної теми. Вагоме значення має також аксіологічний підхід у виявлені найбільш ціннісних показників фортепіанних композицій що визначаються для перекладу та їх виконанні на баяні. Використання структурно-аналітичного методу дозволяє витримувати наукову послідовність представлення дослідницького матеріалу та здійснювати висновки. Наукова новизна розкривається у визначенні закономірностей трансформації фортепіанних творів епохи романтизму як найбільш проблемної першоджерельної зони баянного перекладу. У статті висвітлюються причини виникнення перекладення в баянному репертуарі та фактори, що впливають на його розвиток. Окреслено різноманіття першоджерел баянного перекладу; підкреслено, що найбільш затребуваним матеріалом є клавірна музика. На основі аналізу посібників з перекладення інструментальних творів для баяна характеризується специфіка трансформації та складнощі виконання фортепіанних творів епохи романтизму на цьому інструменті. Виявлено комплекс специфічних баянних прийомів гри, завдяки яким збагачується та набуває нових тембрових барв матеріал першоджерела. Висновки. Фортепіанні твори епохи романтизму є досить проблемною, складною першоджерельною зоною баянного перекладу. У його еволюції ці композиції актуалізувались як першоджерело на початковому та сучасному етапах. Серед комплексу специфічних баянних прийомів виразності, завдяки яким збагачується та набуває нових тембрових барв матеріал першоджерела, особливо слід відзначити тремоло, комбіноване тремоло, рикошет, а також навички інтонування міхом та естетику регістрування.
