Не дивлячись на певні успіхи, які досягнуті у справі вдосконалення діагностики і впровадження у стома- тологічну практику новітніх комплексних методів і тактики лікування дисфункцій скронево-нижньоще- лепних суглобів (СНЩС) на тлі оклюзійної і м’язевої інтерференції, основне питання клінічної пародонто- логії у сполученні з різними патологічними станами щелепно-лицевих сегментів не втрачає своєї акту- альності дотепер і потребує подальших комплексних досліджень, спрямованих на оптимізацію лікувально- профілактичних заходів нейро-м’язової і суглобової дисфункції. Попри багаточисленні публікації, що присвячені дис- функції СНСЩ, відомості про етіологію, діагностику і патогенез цих симптомокомплексів залишаються вельми суперечливими. Мета – огляд джерел науково-медичної інформації щодо впливу оклюзійних чинників на розвиток м’язево-суглобової дисфункції скронево-нижньощелепних суглобів. Результати. З різних концепцій виникнення дисфунк- ції СНЩС виділяють дві базові: міогенну і оклюзійно- артикуляційну теорії. Прихильники міогенної теорії провідну роль у потогенезі захворювань СНЩС відво- дять парафункціональним станам жувальних м’язів. Проте серед представників міогенної концепції роз- витку дисфункції СНЩС, немає єдиної думки щодо етіології парафункціональних порушень, також зали- шається до кінця не вирішеною діагностика функ- ціональних змін СНЩС, ускладнених гіпертонусом жувальних м’язів на тлі травматичної оклюзії. Розглядаючи джерела науково-методичної інформації, що стосуються методів обстеження хворих з дисфунк- цією СНЩС, слід констатувати, що постійно відбува- ється їх вдосконалення, зумовлене як потребою клініки, так і розробкою чутливіших і сучасніших апаратів. Висновки. Сучасні методи дослідження, що з’явилися і активно упроваджувалися останніми роками, вима- гають систематизації і оцінки їх ефективності для розробки алгоритмів діагностики у хворих зі скро- нево-нижньощелепними розладами.
