В связи с активным развитием современной техники существует потребность в создании материалов, надежно работающих в сложной комбинации силовых и температурных полей, при воздействии агрессивных сред и высоких давлений. Одним из эффективных путей решения этой задачи является создание конструкционных материалов с повышенной коррозионной стойкостью, благодаря чему эти материалы приобретают качественно новые, зачастую уникальные свойства. Следует отметить, что разработка новых конструкционных материалов является в настоящее время ключевым направлением наряду с улучшением существующих в развитии современного материаловедения.В статье представлены результаты потенциостатического исследования свинцового баббита БТ (PbSb15Sn10), модифицированного натрием, в среде электролита NaCl, при скорости изменения потенциала 2 мВ/с. Добавки натрия в свинцовый баббит PbSb15Sn10 составляли 0,01 ÷ 1,0 мас. %. Исследования проводились в среде водного раствора электролита NaCl с концентрацией 0,03; 0,3 и 3,0 мас. %. Показано, что добавка натрия в пределах 0.01–1.0 мас. % к сплаву PbSb15Sn10 снижает его скорость коррозии на 10–15 % в результате сдвига электрохимических потенциалов в область положительных значений. Например, потенциал питтингообразований сдвигается в область положительных значений от ‑0,510 В для исходного сплава до -0,450 В для сплава, содержащего 1,0 мас. % натрия. Увеличение концентрации NaCl в электролите приводит к росту скорости коррозии сплавов и смещению электрохимического потенциала в область отрицательных значений.
