У статті обґрунтовано діяльнісно-рефлексивний критерій готовності майбутнього вчителя фізичної культури до здійснення здоров'язбережувальної діяльності. Критеріями обґрунтування обрано: професійну спрямованість, професійну освіченість, професійно-ціннісні орієнтації, професійну рефлексію. Ознаками професійної спрямованості є такі аспекти: мотиваційний (стійка установка та спрямованість на здоров’язбережувальну діяльність; стійкий інтерес до особистості дитини); цільовий (готовність до самоосвіти, саморозвитку, самопізнання; бажання застосовувати педагогічні знахідки в своїй практиці); особистісний (наявність рис характеру: врівноваженості, активності, діалогічність, конгруентності, емпатії); професійна освіченість (теоретичний (система знань, умінь в області концепцій, підходів, методів, форм виховання основ цінностей здоров'я (харчування, психоемоційна стійкість, самооцінка і рівень домагань, мотивація досягнення, рухова активність тощо), готовність співвіднести з ними свою практику; методичний (професійна компетентність до здійснення здоров'язбережувальної діяльності, здатність застосовувати знання в практичній діяльності; наявність проблематики здоров'я в методичній роботі педагогів); поведінковий (наявність інтелектуально-творчої ініціативи; потреби і здатності до планування і проектування виховного процесу щодо взаємодії з підлітками, виробленні конструктивних прийомів взаємодії) аспекти; професійно-ціннісних орієнтацій (ціннісне ставлення до педагогічної діяльності (аксіологічна спрямованість, визначення мети і особистісного сенсу даної діяльності); ціннісне ставлення до особистості підлітка, ціннісне ставлення до колег, до себе самого як педагога); професійної рефлексії (рефлексивно-оцінний (потреба і здатність педагога до самоаналізу і самооцінки власної діяльності і самого себе як її суб'єкта); комунікативний (уміння аналізувати і рефлексувати комунікативну ситуацію, стиль спілкування, а також оцінювати результати спілкування з підлітками і власний стан).
