The article describes the technology of psychological and pedagogical support for the professional development of teachers. Also identifies the main principles on the basis of which a model of professional development and the technology of its support were developed. The levels, components and forms of psychological and pedagogical support have been determined. The stages of the experimental study of the effectiveness of the technology of psychological and pedagogical support are described: ascertaining, formative, control. The analysis of a sample of respondents is carried out, the results of a pilot study are presented. The formative stage of the experiment is described in detail at which in the system of continuing education of teachers, such forms of professional development as: distance courses of in-depth study of psychology for preschool teachers, primary school teachers, middle and senior-school teachers, trainings, seminars, workshops, master classes were used. Alsopresented the results of an empirical study of the effectiveness of the implementation of the technology of psychological and pedagogicalsupport in the system of continuous education.
