Практическая направленность учебного процесса с вовлечением специалистов соответствующей сферы лежит в основе конкурентоспособности каждого современного университета и является обязательным элементом эффективной подготовки выпускников. В работе показано, что создание базовых кафедр позволяет если не устранить, то в существенной степени сократить системный разрыв между уровнем подготовки студентов в университетах и степенью эффективности их последующей практической деятельности, что актуально в настоящее время. Целью данной статьи является анализ и оценка основных результатов научно-исследовательских работ с участием студентов для развития основ современных технологий охраны окружающей среды на примере деятельности базовой кафедры экологии и экологических проблем химической технологии (БК ЭЭПХТ) ВГУЭС и Института химии ДВО РАН (ИХ ДВО РАН). Методической основой исследования является анализ опыта БК ЭЭПХТ с использованием методов сравнительного анализа, анализа и систематизации результатов научно-исследовательской деятельности. Научная новизна: представлена модель организации научно-исследовательской работы студентов в вузе. Практическая значимость исследования: на примере научно-исследовательской деятельности кафедры показана эффективность привлечения студентов к реализации научных направлений, связанных с развитием природоохранных технологий. Положительный опыт ВГУЭС в области экологического образования свидетельствует о том, что в систему практико-интегрированного обучения должны быть включены научно-исследовательские организации, а также должны создаваться совместные подразделения (базовые кафедры), обеспечивающие качественную подготовку экологов путем реализации различных проектов.
