The article reveals the peculiarities of teaching chemical disciplines in agricultural higher education institutions from the standpoint of practical aspect. A key feature of distance learning is that it organically combines various forms of teacher-led learning with independent student learning. The modern system of studying chemical disciplines in higher education institutions, in particular the agrarian direction, provides for independent work of students, their assimilation of theoretical material, and the acquisition of practical skills that arise during laboratory classes. An integral part of distance learning of chemical disciplines is the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), which, in combination with traditional methods, allow the formation and development of special skills. In the conditions of distance learning, the tasks of studying chemical disciplines are solved by creating virtual chemical laboratories. The use of
