Two catalytic systems, metallocene-based and Ti-based were used to synthesize by in situ polymerization the composites of polypropylene and few-layer graphene nanoparticles, prepared by chemical or thermal reduction of graphite oxide. The effect of metallocene and titanium catalytic systems on the properties of nanocomposites and distribution of nanoparticles in polymer matrix is investigated in detail. The data on electrical and thermal properties of nanocomposites are presented. POLYM.ENG. Composites of polypropylene and different carbon nanofillers (graphene nanoplatelets and carbon nanotubes) were prepared by in situ polymerization using a homogeneous isospecific metallocene catalyst rac-Me2Si(2-Me-4-PhInd)2ZrCl2 activated by methylaluminoxane. The electrophysical, mechanical, thermophysical properties of the composites have been investigated. Even small amounts of carbon nanofillers significantly improve the mechanical and thermophysical characteristics of composites. The use of carbon nanofillers makes it possible to prepare composites with controlled electrophysical characteristics.
