The article analyzes the data of the 26th edition of the United Nations on the number and age structure of the world population. There is an unprecedented aging of the population due to an increase in life expectancy. Therefore, it is expected that the number of women who need medical care due to menopause symptoms will increase every year, since they will spend a third of their lives in conditions of estrogen deficiency. Early relief of vasomotor symptoms and stabilization of body weight is considered as a therapy strategy for menopausal women. An alternative to menopausal hormone therapy is considered-treatment with a plant extract of Cimicifuga racemosa Ze 450, which has demonstrated effective relief of vasomotor symptoms and a stabilizing effect on body weight and metabolic parameters in menopausal women.
