Дослідження еколого-геологічних ризиків у межах адміністративних комплексів не дає чіткого розуміння впливу зсувних процесів на навколишнє середовище та господарську діяльність. Використання геоінформаційних технологій для моделювання ризиків значно спрощує визначення локальних зон розвитку зсувних процесів та їх еколого-геологічної оцінки. Запропонований новий підхід на основі ГІС для оцінки ризиків окремих територій за басейновим принципом. Сформовано картографічну та атрибутивну базу даних геологічних, геоморфологічних та ландшафтних факторах. Це дозволило виконати просторовий аналіз зсувної активності у межах окремих суббасейнів басейну річки Прут на основі просторового поширення зсувів та їх локалізації в річковій мережі. Виконаний статистичний аналіз даних, який дозволив обґрунтувати вибір факторних характеристик для оцінки еколого-геологічних ризиків. Розрахований інтегральний показник і порахована оцінка еколого-геологічного ризику у кожній точці зсувопрояву з інтерполяцією в межах суббасейнів річки Прут. Побудована картографічна модель рельєфу, карта ймовірностей активізації та розвитку зсувних процесів на основі комплексного вибору природно-техногенних факторів і карта еколого-геологічних ризиків розвитку зсувних процесів у межах суббасейнів басейну річки Прут. Результати моделювання свідчать що басейновий принцип оцінки ризиків значно краще виділяє зони з найбільшою ймовірністю негативного впливу на населення, яке проживає у межах суббасейнів. Найбільшим ризиком відзначаються території верхньої частини басейну Прута, зон з активною господарською діяльністю, з розподілом на суббасейну, що категоріально підтверджує основні морфометричні характеристики суббасейну, його геології та геоморфології як потенційно небезпечної зони для розвитку та активізації зсувів.
