The number of emitting bubbles and the number of photons given by a single bubble during a flash were estimated with time-correlated single photon counting and combinatorial analysis. MBSL was observed from aqueous NaCl and dodecyl sulfate solutions irradiating with 20 kHz ultrasound. The number of emitting bubbles was defined only like 100, that is, much less than the number of bubbles in the cloud. This can underline the importance of bubble dynamics in flash generation. The number of photons per flash was like 10000, the value was an order of magnitude less than for SBSL.
(Didenko Y. T., McNamara III W.B., Suslick K. S., J. Am. Chem.Soc., 1999, V. 121, P. 5817).
