Мета роботи. У статті інновації в освіті аналізуються крізь призму діалектики кількісних і якісних змін з метою визначити умови, за яких подібні інновації здатні виводити освіту на новий, більш високий рівень, розв’язуючи ті суперечності, що накопичилися в ній. Методологія. Засо- бом реалізації поставленої мети є діалектика як логіка й теорія пізнання, зокрема закон взаємного переходу якісних і кількісних змін, а також логіка розрізнення сфер буття, сутності й поняття. Наукова новизна. Уперше у вітчизняній філософській і педагогічній літературі природа освітніх інновацій проаналізована в контексті адекватного розуміння взаємозв’язку кількісних і якісних змін, тим самим стають зрозумілими умови реалізації перериву поступовості й перехо- ду до нового заходу. Інноваційні зміни самі по собі належать до сфери наявного буття, де відбувається лише «перехід». На рівні ж сутності панує рефлексія як видимість одного в іншому, присутність одного в іншому, внутрішній зв’язок. Розвиток як такий (включаючи розвиток освіти) здійснюється на рівні «поняття» як вільної єдності буття й сутності. Тим самим стверджується, що самі по собі інноваційні процеси, узяті абстрактно, не ведуть до сутнісних перетворень, але освітні інновації можуть їм сприяти, рівним чином як і пере- шкоджати. Тому суть справи не у впровадженні різноманітних інновацій, а у розв’язанні існуючих суперечностей. Виснов- ки. Адекватне теоретичне розуміння діалектики якісних та кількісних змін здатне орієнтувати педагогічне мислення на пошуки таких інновацій, що призводять до розв’язання супе- речностей, що накопичились у вітчизняній системі освіти. Гонитва за «новизною», «інноваційними технологіями» жодною мірою не сприяє оздоровленню освіти, проте здатна істотно вводити в оману як реальних учасників освітнього процесу, так і чиновників, що здійснюють управлінську діяльність у цій сфері.
