In the Bridgman chamber at temperatures of 20, 70, 100, 300 °C and at the identical scheme of loading zirconium pseudo-single samples are tested. The tests were carried out with a research objective of a possibility of maintaining the metastable ω-phase at increased temperatures. Researches showed that in the course of warm deformation, as a result of formation of equilibrium interphase boundaries and the oriented nucleation and growth of a ω-phase, there are stable structural configurations which promote increase in stability of a ω-phase after cooling and removal of loading. In the sample tested at 300 °C dispersion particles of hydride of zirconium, variable structure - δ-ZrH2-h which cause the high hardness comparable with a hardness of the sample which was subjected to tests at the room temperature are found.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
