Abstract45 female patients with polycystic ovary syndrome took thioctic acid (Thioctacid-HR), 600 mg (n = 25) or high protein diet (n = 20). Fast insulin and glucose stimulus insulin were investigated before and after 3 months taken treatment. The use of thioctic acid, 600 mg is a new effective pathogenetics therapy of polycystic ovary syndrome on influence of hyperinsulinemia, HOMA-IR index and ovary volume in female patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Background Evidence suggests rheumatoid arthritis (RA) confers an increased risk of psychological morbidity, particularly anxiety and depression, which may affect the subsequent management and treatment adherence.1,2 Few studies have studied psychological factors over time in RA patients.3 Objectives We aimed to evaluate the prevalence of anxiety and depression in RA patients following rituximab treatment initiation and prolongation. Methods Biologics-naïve RA patients were followed up for 27 months after commencing and continuing rituximab therapy (1, 2, 3 standard courses). Anxiety and depression, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) were assessed at baseline, 3, 15 and 27 months using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Short Form (SF-36 v.1) Health Survey questionnaire, respectively. Results 86 patients [mean (SD) age 49.2 (9.3) years, 76 women; median (IQR) DAS28 5.64 (3.92–8.42); median (IQR) HAQ 1.85 (1.0–3.5)] were recruited. Median anxiety and depression scores decreased significantly between baseline and 3 months (p<0.001) and remained decreased over the 27-month period. The prevalence of depression cases decreased twice from baseline to 27 months (66.3% to 30.0%), as did the prevalence of anxiety (79.1% to 40.0%). Patients reported poor baseline HRQoL. SF-36 v.1 domain scores substantially raised after 15 months. Conclusions Anxiety and depression levels decrease significantly following commencement and continuity of rituximab. The article presents the data of a complex analysis of the course of the early period of the newborn in children born to 456 women who were delivered in the maternity hospitals of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in 2009-2016. These patients were divided into the main group (99 women who gave birth to live children who died in the first 7 days of life) and a comparison group (357 women who gave birth to live children who survived the first 7 days). Estimated the duration of pregnancy at the time of delivery, clinical features of newborn children in the group of patients with perinatal losses, in comparison with the control group, were analyzed. The article compares the anthropometric data of newborns (weight and height at birth), Apgar scores, and the frequency of fetal hypotrophy. The results of the clinical analysis of the blood of newborn children of the patients of the main and control groups (hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets and venous blood glucose) were also evaluated. A number of significant differences in the main group and comparison group that can be regarded as predictors of perinatal fetal death have been identified. Thus, the risk group for perinatal fetal death includes preterm newborns with hypotrophy, low body weight, smaller body length, a low Apgar score, changes in the clinical analysis of blood (lowering of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and platelets, and an increase in the level of venous blood glucose). The level of leukocytes in peripheral blood in newborns in both groups is not significantly different.
