На основе ежедневных данных спутникового микроволнового зондирования изучены специфические особенности микроволнового излучения болот и заболоченных территорий Западной Сибири, находящихся в условиях смены времен года. Методика исследований включала в себя анализ радиояркостных температур подстилающей поверхности тестовых участков, измеренных со спутника SMOS; полевые измерения физических параметров подстилающей поверхности; лабораторные измерения диэлектрических характеристик природных сред. Показано, что основными причинами различий сезонной динамики радиояркостных температур являются: 1) разная скорость сезонного промерзания верхнего переувлажненного слоя подстилающей поверхности; 2) различие диэлектрических характеристик водосодержащих природных сред (водоем, почва, растительность). Проведен анализ многолетних трендов сезонной и годовой динамики радиояркостных температур подстилающей поверхности и на их основе оценены гидрологические изменения в Арктике и Субарктике. Полученные результаты открывают новые возможности в использовании спутниковых данных микроволнового диапазона для изучения происходящих в природе сезонных динамических процессов, прогнозирования опасных гидрологических явлений.
Выполнен анализ сезонных и межгодовых зависимостей яркостной температуры различных областей Обской губы в период ледостава, полученных по данным радиометра MIRAS спутника SMOS. Проведенные исследования показали, что в начале Обской губы наблюдается схожая с пресноводными озерами сезонная и межгодовая динамика яркостной температуры, при приближении к акватории Карского моря эта динамика нарушается и в северной части губы становится схожей с динамикой яркостной температуры центральной области Карского моря. Изменение сезонной динамики яркостной температуры различных областей Обской губы происходит в период ледостава. Такое изменение объясняется авторами увеличением солености воды подо льдом. В период ледостава, зона смешения пресных и соленых вод может сдвигаться далеко в южную часть Обской губы. Смещение фронтальной зоны в зимний период объясняется климатическими изменениями региона, определяющими речной сток и состояние многолетнемерзлых пород.
