В настоящей работе рассмотрен процесс формирования боридного слоя на стали 45, с предварительно нанесенной медной подложкой. Медная подложка наносилась на одну из сторон образца. Медное покрытие наносили на установке магнетронного распыления. Толщина покрытия составила 2,4 мкм. В качестве катода использовали мишень из меди чистотой 99,99 производства TORUS. Толщину покрытия и скорость его роста оценивали встроенным ультразвуковым толщиномером. Таким образом, влияние медной подложки на механизм формирования диффузионного боридного слоя будет очевидным. Исследования показали, что микротвердость диффузионного слоя, полученного без медной подложки, соответствует стандартным значениям. А микротвердость диффузионного слоя, полученного с предварительно нанесенной медной подложкой на поверхности имеет меньшую микротвердость и максимума достигает в нижней части боридных игл. В процессе нагрева до температуры химикотермической обработки образуется жидкометаллическая фаза, которая способствует образованию аморфной фазы, что в свою очередь приводит к ускоренной диффузии атомов бора, меди. аморфная фаза может образоваться лишь в динамике процесса при повышенных температурах. Эта фаза метастабильна, ее появление во многом обусловлено неравновесным термодинамическим составом в неоднородном твердом растворе Fe B C. Такие состояния возникают в ходе диффузионного процесса при быстром подводе атомов бора и углерода по каналам диффузии, главным из которых является диффузия по границам зерен, образовавшихся при борировании.
