High-frequency wave phenomena present a great deal of interest as one of the possible candidates to contribute to the energy input required to heat the corona as a part of the alternating current heating theory. However, the resolution of imaging instruments up until the Solar Orbiter has made it impossible to resolve the necessary time and spatial scales. The present paper reports on high-frequency transverse motions in a small loop located in a quiet-Sun region of the corona. The oscillations were observed with the High Resolution Imager in the Extreme Ultraviolet telescope (17.4 nm) of the Extreme Ultraviolet Imager instrument on board the Solar Orbiter. We detect two transverse oscillations in short loops with lengths of 4.5 and 11 Mm. The shorter loop displays an oscillation with a 14 s period and the longer a 30 s period. Despite the high resolution, no definitive identification as propagating or standing waves is possible. The velocity amplitudes are found to be equal to 72 and 125 km s−1, respectively, for the shorter and longer loops. Based on that, we also estimated the values of the energy flux contained in the loops—the energy flux of the 14 s oscillation is 1.9 kW m−2 and that of the 30 s oscillation is 6.5 kW m−2. While these oscillations have been observed in the quiet Sun, their energy fluxes are of the same order as the energy input required to heat the active solar corona. Numerical simulations were performed in order to reproduce the observed oscillations. The correspondence of the numerical results to the observations provides support to the estimates of energy content for the observations. Such high energy densities have not yet been observed in decayless coronal waves, and this is promising for coronal heating models based on wave damping.

The solar radio flux at F10.7 and F30 cm is required by most models characterizing the state of the Earth’s upper atmosphere, such as the thermosphere and ionosphere, to specify satellite orbits, re-entry services, collision avoidance maneuvers, and modeling of the evolution of space debris. We develop a method called RESONANCE (Radio Emissions from the Sun: ONline ANalytical Computer-aided Estimator) for the prediction of the 13-month smoothed monthly mean F10.7 and F30 indices 1–24 months ahead. The prediction algorithm has three steps. First, we apply a 13-month optimized running mean technique to effectively reduce the noise in the radio flux data. Second, we provide initial predictions of the F10.7 and F30 indices using the McNish–Lincoln method. Finally, we improve these initial predictions by developing an adaptive Kalman filter with identification of the error statistics. The rms error of predictions with lead times from 1 to 24 months is 5–27 solar flux units (sfu) for the F10.7 index and 3–16 sfu for F30, which statistically outperforms current algorithms in use. The proposed approach based on the Kalman filter is universal and can be applied to improve the initial predictions of a process under study provided by any other forecasting method. Furthermore, we present a systematic evaluation of re-entry forecast as an application to test the performance of F10.7 predictions on past ESA re-entry campaigns for payloads, rocket bodies, and space debris that re-entered from 2006 to 2019 June. The test results demonstrate that the predictions obtained by RESONANCE in general also lead to improvements in the forecasts of re-entry epochs.

The scientific study reflects the shifts in the migration media discourse since 2015 and their reflection in art. In the first wave of migration (2015) the political communication strategy of security risk and cultural threat was dominant in the international and national media context, in the second wave (2016, 2017) the discourse of migration management was promoted and in the latter period (in the third wave -since 2018) an alternative concept of "effective solidarity" has appeared in V4 countries. However, we also observe inclusive media and art strategies on the issue of migration in civic mobilization, which create a counterpoint to the discourse of exclusion and open up space for public discussion. The aim of the research study is to critically reflect the author art approaches to migration as core theme, which were presented in Slovakia in years 2015-2020. Results of a case study (qualitative discursive analysis) of art events held in the Slovak republic with the topic of migration reflecting the phenomenon through digital media: a) My Childa virtual exhibition of art photographs with the theme of migration -MAGNA, virtual space; b) Three migrants in a boat (not to mention the smuggler) -Petko Dourman / Art & Tech Days festival c) Transformation -multimedia installation by Francesca Marti / The Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum d) Far away but strangely familiarthe exhibition of Filipino artists / The Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum. They all decode important reception areas of the political attitudes presentation through art and suggest alternative discursive concepts of participation and solidarity in the topic of migration.

Рассматриваются характерные особенности омских газет одного десятилетия-с 1985 по 1995 г.-и выявляется специфика региональной журналистики периода перестройки и первых постперестроечных лет, когда система советской печати подверглась серьезной трансформации. Особенности омской журналистики этого периода раскрыты на примере одной темы-строительства в Омске нового здания областной библиотеки имени А. С. Пушкина. Так, в 1985 г. информационным поводом, спровоцировавшим интерес СМИ к этой теме, стало присуждение Диплома ВДНХ омским архитекторам, разработавшим проект нового здания. Газеты поддержали намерение архитекторов противостоять попыткам строителей упростить уникальный проект и начали следить за строительством здания. В связи с тяжелой экономической ситуацией тех лет строительство затянулось, и тогда журналисты ведущих омских СМИ фактически поставили под контроль ход стройки. Начиная с 1990 г. в публикациях на эту тему отражается и процесс формирования рыночной экономики: анализируя причины долгостроя, журналисты предлагают активнее внедрять новые рыночные механизмы, например перевести строительство на арендный подряд. После появления Закона о СМИ в Омске начинают выходить новые издания, старые меняют учредителей. Так, трудовые коллективы редакций выступают в качестве соучредителей газет, которые в недавнем прошлом были органами обкома и горкома КПСС. Почти все газеты продолжают обращаться к теме строительства областной библиотеки. При этом даже такая социально значимая тема порой эксплуатируется для получения политических дивидендов. В статье выявлены следующие особенности публикаций этого периода: стремление СМИ стать институтом, решающим общественно значимые проблемы; слом иерархии советских СМИ, выразившийся, к примеру, в том, что молодежное издание позволяло себе критиковать областное партийное руководство; появление интереса журналистов к экономической аналитике; появление дискуссии между СМИ, использование их в качестве инструмента политической борьбы; появление новых типов изданий. Приводится критический анализ школьных учебников по географии на соответствие предъявляемым Федеральным государственным образовательным стандартом основного общего образования методическим, психологическим, эстетическим, гигиеническим требованиям. Выявлено, что наряду с положительными моментами имеются и отрицательные. Рассмотрен национальный проект «Цифровая школа», в соответствии с его требованиями описаны способы использования в образовательном процессе учебника географии совместно с другими средствами обучения, в том числе и цифровыми. Доказывается, что учебник географии играет важную роль в формировании географического мировоззрения школьников, способствует достижению личностных, метапредметных и предметных результатов обучения. На основе анализа состояния школьного российского географического образования выявлены пути модернизации учебников географии. A critical analysis of modern school textbooks on geography is given in the article. The analysis is related to the compliance of the Federal state educational standard of basic General education with the following requirements: methodological, psychological, aesthetic and hygienic. The presented positive aspects of geography textbooks were identified: wellbuilt methodological apparatus; colorful design, the presence of maps, schemes, diagrams, drawings; a system of questions and tasks aimed at organizing independent cognitive activity of pupils through the use of research methods; integration of physical-geographical and economic-geographical branches of geography. The authors of the article revealed the given below negative points in geography textbooks: simplification of scientific geographical information; insufficient description of physical-geographical processes in solving practical problems; lack of connection between the simplified theory of initial courses of geography and practical tasks that are given in Russian exams (the Basic State Exam and the Unified State Exam) in geography; incomplete reflection of the local history approach. Specific examples from existing geography textbooks were provided to confirm the established disadvantages. The national project «Digital school» was reviewed. This project suggests using geography textbooks in the educational process together with other teaching tools, including digital ones. Thus, the geography textbook plays an essential role in shaping the geographical outlook of pupils. In addition, textbooks contribute to the achievement of personal, metasubject and subject learning outcomes. Ways to modernize geography textbooks were defined based on the analysis of the state of Russian school geographical education, namely, the converting textbooks to digital format using interactive applications, videos, demonstrations of experiments and observations, electronic maps and electronic test tasks.
